Well, i have started working on the invites for my DD's clown birthday hoopla! Ok so i had no idea how time consuming it was going to be to color that dang clown stamp! wow! i guess i have never done much of that before. I used real red, tempting turquoise, pumpkin pie, bashful blue, and green galore SU! markers to color the stamp form SU! Clowning Around set. When i do party invites i do a two sided card, like a post card, to save on paper. I did finally get them complete last night, all except for the wording that will go on the back of the card. I have a while to get to that. My DH helped me last night finish these up. The card is Pumpkin pie, and green galore card stock with East coast prep DP also from SU! The circle is punched from Tempting turquoise and the ticket is stamped with Regal Rose in on the same color paper and cut out, then glued to the circle. The ribbon is Real Read Su! grosgrain. The sentiment is from a $1 clear stamp set from Michael's. The nex...
OK, so after months of hanging out looking and getting ideas i finally signed up for SCS today. Also, in questing for new ideas i thought i would participate in some of the challenges so that would force me to be creative. Well, here it is. my first challenge...a kick stand card. It doesn't look like much but for some reason it took me a LONG time to do! I kept messing up the stamped image, SU!'s festive four set, and the "happy valentine's day" stamp, from Michael's $1 bin was mounted crooked, so after trying several times to stamp it straight, i finally popped it in the microwave for a few seconds and repositioned it. I think it all started with the black paper...i only had scraps so i had to build an unusual shaped card. Then i wanted to use that heart patterned paper but had no idea what else. It was very time consuming, but i am happy with how it turned out. I hope whoever i give it to likes it. always cyndi
finally a card! i know you are shocked. this is all ST! supplies, except for the ribbon which came from the $1 bin at Michaels. My SIL is having a baby shower this weekend and of course i HAD to actually make a card for that! No Nephew of mine is going to have a store bought card from his Aunt Cyndi! lol I also made a B'day card for my BFF's Daughter's first Birthday Party...I'll post that later this week. hope you are having a good one! always cyndi
