Frou Frou Gypsy in Combat Boots

I have long said that these sunglasses make me feel like the Johnny Depp version of Willy Wonka...the kids keep disagreeing with me. As i was driving down the road the other day sporting my recently re-dyed blue hair and my fab hat...i thought "I look like Willy Wonka" and so i snapped this pic. Turns out ...i do look a lot like Willy Wonka, though i won't claim to look like Johnny at all.

I have seen a lot of these around...so i figured i would jump on the 16 things bandwagon! Here you have it...16 things that are going on or true right now! My DD has been sick off and on since January 5. Can't get her well. Pray for her, we are all worn our and crazy at this point and momma, that's me, is about to ring some Dr.'s neck if she doesn't get better soon! I am so excited to be going away with my girlfriends for a weekend away in the Smokey Mountains next month. I have been working on things for that weekend and we have FINALLY set a date! VD is coming up and i have no idea what to get or do for my DH. He is the most amazing man in the world and a box of chocolate just doesn't express that very well. ideas anyone? i am going FINALLY today to get my hair re dyed! yippee! the lovely blue has faded out to a weird combo of teal, a silverish blue and i have even found a few purple places in there. I have a good half inch or more of roots and well...its way pas...

well, i've been sewing and these little cuties popped out of the machine the other day. two little critters for my two little critters. They, of course, helped design them with a little help from a McCall's pattern. I have to say they ended up being larger than i had expected, but they are so cute! I want to make a whole menagerie of them...but i don't know what i would do with them then!

OK, so my kids got some money for Christmas. This is two of the things my DS HAD TO HAVE! seriously? he's 7! He knew who they were....what they've composed, and which one is which! they come with a link for a printable paper model of a piano...of course we will be making those for him as soon as we have some ink for our printer! He loves them! They ride in the car with us, they fight with each other about who is the best composer...he even argues with his 4 yr old sister that they are composers not conductors ! Seriously. How is this child mine? I think it's awesome though!

so i have been kicking it around here lately...here's another hint about the girls weekend stuff i am working on. i have also been working on getting my book ready for the 28 days of love in february! Hope you are having a good week!

so this is my very first attempt at digital scrapbooking. i got this template from a link on Shimelle's blog and had to have my DH decode it...so i could figure out how it works. so i just messed around with some pics i had taken of my blue hair. I think it deserves commemoration don't you? I think you could do all kinds of really cool things with this template...i like the idea of it all being one theme. In fact, i have contemplated doing it all with one photograph and seeing how i can make it all look different by the way i place it in the "boxes". Anyway..wanted to share with you because i am so stinkin' excited to be able to try this out! always cyndi

Last year i was so excited about what i was making for girl's weekend that i put it in my blog before we went....and guess what? it wasn't a surprise because apparently they check my blog from time to time (hi gals! see you on the 21st!) So this year i am going to be more secretive! ha! ha! what is she planning? well this picture is your first hint! and i am so happy because i got that fabric on clearance today at walmart! whooo hooo! now, what could she be doing with red fabric, a tape measure and a big green bowl? hahahah i'll never tell! well, at least not until AFTER girls weekend. Speaking of girls weekend...i hope it actually happens this year. we seem to be having a lot of trouble working all the details out. when did life get so hard? always cyndi

so have you seen all the 365 projects? where you take a photo a day for a year? they are pretty cool, but i don't think i am up to that. Sure i could TAKE the photo....but actually doing something with it is another story. Soooo i am thinking about doing 28 days of LOVE in February! what do you think?

Just WHAT can you do with Christmas clearance??? well you can make this spiffy New Year's Wreath! Except for the pocket watch, (thanks for the donation duchess) and the NYE tiara and blowers..this is ALL Christmas clearance finds bought at 50% or more off! I know it may look a little gaudy here, but hanging on my pantry door, it is just fantastic! and i need something between Christmas and Valentine's Day right??? always cyndi
