Time keeps on slippin' into the future

Image
I have been getting ready to start scrapbooking our Disney trip from October. My BFF is going back in May and i must say it has us all longing to go back. I just had to share these images from EPCOT because they are so funny! You can have your images emailed to you at home and luckily i did and i also saved them so now i have these great photos for our scrapbook. other than that, life has been rollin' along. DS has started taking violin lessons and DD has been sick and not feeling well since December. She missed last week at school, she's not really sick, but not feeling well either. I have been in a serious funk myself. I don't even know what it is. I was/am going to therapy and that was helping, but i've sort of fallen into a slump and quit "working it" so to speak. I don't know what's wrong, but i wish it would go away!

the 13th day of LOVE!

Image
ok this really is day 13...even though it has a HUGE 14 at the bottom. this is an acetate page and the "13" is the two circular stickers at the top right. sigh. Oh well. Click on the picture to enlarge it and see just how freaky we are in this house. xoxo Cyndi

lost in loveland

well, i have tried, really i have, to catch up on my Days of love...alas i am still behind. I did want to share with you the book/card i made for my DH for V day though. I was really very proud of it and pleased with how it turned out. I used some chipboard coasters that i had picked up in a $1 bin somewhere and decoupaged them with photos and brown paper bag scraps. (if the coasters are glossy...sand them a bit first) I used various things for embellishments...whatever i had laying around that seemed like it would work.

the 3rd Day of LOVE!!

OK so laugh at me if you must...but i LOVE my COKE ZERO! some people have their morning coffee, i have my soda! That is my caffiene kick. It is so much better than diet coke, which use to be my drink of choice. I don't even want to know how they make it or what chemicals are in it! Just gimmie it! The photo is not attached to the page, it is just hole punched and in like a page, the page is transparency with vellum behind it which has the journaling on it.

free class update!

Just wanted to let you know that the next prompt is up for the Free scrapbooking class i talked about in the post below! it is so much fun! go check it out!!

so this is my very first attempt at digital scrapbooking. i got this template from a link on Shimelle's blog and had to have my DH decode it...so i could figure out how it works. so i just messed around with some pics i had taken of my blue hair. I think it deserves commemoration don't you? I think you could do all kinds of really cool things with this template...i like the idea of it all being one theme. In fact, i have contemplated doing it all with one photograph and seeing how i can make it all look different by the way i place it in the "boxes". Anyway..wanted to share with you because i am so stinkin' excited to be able to try this out! always cyndi

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas....

Image
so i did it. Showed the web page to the hub and he said, "how can you NOT do this? It's writing, and photography and scrappin' all things you love! Sign up and merry Christmas!" so i did! I will be officially taking the Journal your Christmas online class starting Dec 1st. This is my very first online class ever! I have to say i am excited. I have already started getting emails since i signed up last night welcoming me and letting me know how things are going to happen. There is a forum if participants want to join in on the group atmosphere of that. I got a file on how to prepare for the class today, and we all know i am an over achiever so i will certainly want to be ready on Dec. 1 st for the BIG first day of class! I am so excited, my scrapbooking and memory preserving has fallen way behind lately and i do love Christmas, so i am hoping this will be just the kick start I need to get those creative juices flowing again! Wish me luck! always cyndi

here it is...TA DAH! My new craft space! as you come up the stairs you see ^ this! Of course i still have to share it with the kids and i don't have it all just right yet...but it is usable at least! Here is the storage behind my desk. all those little wicker bins on the right are full of misc embellishments, etc. I have scrap and extra ribbon stored here in jars by color. I am working on something to store my rolls of ribbon on. I have this magnetic board and stuff next to my desk! this is how i have my SU! stamps stored for now. I know you are thinking i don't have enough, right? my husband would disagree! And this is the little corner for my DD with her craft stuff and kitchen. the kids love to play while i am up there working. I think it is going to work out nicely! always cyndi

School supplies...three ring binders!

Image
So, i have not been very creative lately, unless you consider my new hair color! But what i have managed to put together in the last little while is a workable system to save my DS's school work and memorabilia. His 5K teachers put together a small memory book for him at the end of the year, and it was in a small 3 ring binder. It gave me a super idea! I bought the biggest, sturdiest 3 ring binder i could find, then i decorated it.... Then i found these spiffy divider pages that have pockets...great for report cards or other things that can't easily be 'scrapped' or glued down to a page. I got enough dividers for ever year 5K -12. I used some of the pages that the teachers had put in the memory book they made, added some things i had saved from the year, and scrapped a few pages myself. So as you can see, all the things are slid into page sleeves...so as he grows i can go back and weed out things..like all the color pages or spelling tests from kindergarten that i ...
